DISCARDED HISTORY: THE GENIZAH OF MEDIEVAL CAIRO
Location: Cambridge
The University of Cambridge displays ancient documents that take people to the world of medieval Jews.

Reportedly dated between 9th and 19th century, the exhibit will last for at least half a year at the University Library.

The artifacts provide a unique and "unparalleled" glimpse into the daily lives of Jewish men and women. For one, the people of Fustat (Old Cairo) deposited over 200,000 unwanted writings in a purpose-built storeroom in the Ben Ezra synagogue.
Venue: Library, University of Cambridge
