About Jewish Genealogy VicAustralian Jewish Genealogical Society (Vic) Inc
WHO ARE WE ?
We are a small group of enthusiasts who use birth, death, marriage, immigration and naturalisation records to research our relatives both past and present. We search the Internet on JewishGen Family Finder to seek out others researching the same names. We explore cemetery records, Yizkor Books, Holocaust survivor lists, surname dictionaries, newspapers, maps and any other sources that may help us fill in the gaps in our family history.
Some of us chart our family trees on the computer or just simple draw up charts on sheets of paper and collect documents in shoe boxes awaiting the day when we have enough material to get properly organised.
Some of us are just beginning the journey of searching while others have accumulated many hundreds of names and dates going back centuries. We are here to help you.
YOU TOO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS ADVENTURE.
