LEKACH
Well you can debate what "Lekach" is but as we know it - and love it - it is a sponge cake.
The perfect light companion to a cup of tea!
Lekach is often confused with Honey Cake but we're standing by our tradition here!
Baking lekach in a rectangular loaf pan yields a classic, sliceable loaf.
It is best baked in the following choices:
* a greased 9x13 inch rectangular pan (23 x 33 cm)
* a 9-inch square pan (23 x 23 cm)
* a traditional loaf pan 8.5 x 4.5 inches or 9 x 5 inches
Depending on the recipe, generally baked at 300-350F for 45 to 60 minutes.
