MACAROONS
Macaroons belong to both Ashkenazi and Sephardi traditions, originating from Italian Jews in the 1700s who made flourless, egg-white nut cookies for Passover.
Ashkenazi Jews later popularized the modern coconut version, while Sephardic traditions kept the original nut-based style (like almond marunchinos).
